Has Eye Academy Changed Ownership?

No! We are still independently owned and the Guildford team will be moving to Cobham.

Where Are You Moving To?

We are merging with our beautiful sister practice in Cobham, Ellis & Thompson Optometrists. Eye Academy acquired Ellis & Thompson back in 2014 and given the close proximity it now makes sense to merge the two practices. Cobham is less than a 20 minute drive, has cheaper, easier parking and the BEST coffee shops (not to mention the best opticians!)

When Is Your Guildford Practice Closing?

Do You Have a New Phone Number?

We do, the phone number is 01932 86 20 08, but fear not, if you forget, all calls to our Guildford number will be diverted for a short time.

Do I Need to Re-Register with You?

Absolutely not. We will be transferring our database and records to our Cobham practice

I Have an Appointment Booked, Do I Need to Rearrange It?

Anyone with an appointment booked will be contacted directly. But if you would like to call and discuss please call us on 01932 86 20 08

I Have Glasses or Contact Lenses on Order. When Can I Collect Them?

We will be in touch to arrange when any outstanding eyewear should be collected. Or feel free to send us an email to guildford@eyeacademy.com.

I Am Having a Problem with My Glasses. Can You Help After You Close?

Of course, we can do the same adjustments and repairs to any eyewear you have purchased from our Guildford practice, at our Cobham practice. We will be able to access all of your records and have a great team of Dispensing Opticians who can help.

Can I See the Same Optometrists in Cobham?

Yes! Our clinical team will be joining us in our Cobham practice.

Why Is the Cobham Practice Not Called Eye Academy?

Ellis & Thompson has been the leading independent opticians in Cobham for well over 30 years. They have been part of the Eye Academy family since 2014 and even though they go by a different name, you can still expect the same friendly service, beautiful eyewear and expert, specialist eye care that you are used to seeing in Guildford.

I Am Excited to Visit the Cobham Practice. When Can I Visit?

We’re excited to see you! You are welcome to pop in anytime. But bear in mind that we still recommend you pre-book eye examinations, styling appointments and eyewear fitting appointments. You can do that by contacting us using the number and email address above or by clicking here.

Is There Anything New and Exciting to Look Forward To?

Well yes! Our Cobham practice has 3 consulting rooms that allows us to offer more appointment availability for you. We also house a large collection of luxury eyewear, including some collections you wont have seen in Guildford!
